SkuWatch exists to make US tariff information easier to research for the people actually doing the work, including ecommerce operators and importers.
The problem: the rules never stop moving
In 2025, tariff changes made information relevant to our Canada-based trade team difficult to track. For an ecommerce practitioner trying to price a product, plan a shipment, or decide where to source, changing information can be hard to follow and expensive to get wrong.
Most of this information already exists in public — but it is scattered across dozens of official schedules, notices, and government systems, written in language built for specialists. That gap is what makes tariffs feel opaque.
What we do about it
We track, record, and make transparent represented US tariff information, and present it in plain language linked back to official sources. Coverage and freshness vary by dataset and are published on the data status page.
The goal is simple: help ecommerce store owners do business more easily, and help anyone learn the professional vocabulary as they go.
How the information is sourced and checked
SkuWatch publishes the method so you can judge the evidence for yourself:
- Tariff facts are ingested from official sources with their provenance retained.
- Structured parsing and validation keep schedule, rule, rate, date, and scope fields distinct.
- Missing evidence fails closed and requires review instead of becoming a guessed rate or date.
